It will stop people from botting at coolies! I hope it comes to GMS soon! |

lie detector test was an item I saw awhile back on broa. It was a reward during a GM event I think. Basicly when you use it, it scans the area you are in for botters and hackers. I forget if it automaticly bans them or sends a message to an active GM.
But basicly everytime the lich is hit, the map will be scanned for hackers and botters.

OK I just checked mapletip yesterday and here's what I found out....
The item "Lie Detector Test" Was part of Aqua Road in MapleSEA. When It was released in Global, Wizit forgot to take it out. So it was availble for 1 week before they finnaly took it out. It is still active in other versions of Maple. THAT'S why I haven't seen any in months.
But basicly it STILL stops Botters and Hackers.

I talked to a white hat I met at Coolies and he said he heard about it. He said all a hacker would have to do is freeze the spawn of the Lich.

he's making it sound so easy.. all maple hacks are serversided. hacks like godmode just change the code temporarily and only for ur char.
but freezing the spawnrate of a certain monster is screwing with the server itself. u wouldnt just get a ban if they sniff u out...

You would get a $250 to $500 fine and Jail time for packet editing. Some Hackers don't care what the risks are.

yes well... but on the other hand.. hackers that can packet edit know what they are doing. I think these are the hackers that dont hack in public or even let the rest of the community know what they are doing.
